35 Class Reunion

June 18, 2010 - Friday night social - 7 pm at the home of Scott and DeAnn Lumpkin

235 Trace Point Orange. Bring a dish/snack to share and whatever you wish to drink. We will have paper plates, silver, cups, napkins.
Park in the back parking lot on the north side of LCM high school and use the walkway to their backyard.

June 19, 2010 - Orange Country Club - 7 to 12 pm

Group photo is planned for 9 pm. We ask that everyone who brings a digital camera share their pictures with us. All
photos shared will be shared with everyone via the website or email.

Cash Bar and a selection of Hors D'Oeuvres (see below for list).

Band - Brent Force and friend Gary will play a selection of easy listening music.

Friday night We will gather at Scott & DeAnn Lumpkin's home located at 235 Trace Point Orange, TX 7 pm till they kick us our!
They ask that we park in the LCM parking area that is on the north side of the school. They have a walkway to their back yard from the back
lot. Turn in the last entrance just past the north side of school building and go all the way to the back
Bring a dish to share and anything you wish to drink. We will have paper plates, silver, cups, and napkins. If you live local and want to - throw
a couple of chairs in your car - just in case we need them. Dress casual.

Saturday night We have 44 paid (includes classmate and guests). 12 that have said yes but not paid, and 8 maybe's. If you plan to pay
at the door please bring exact cash or a check.

Cash bar. We are checking to see if there will be a charge for water and ice tea. We have selected the following Hors D'Oeuvres to be served:
Chinese Eggrolls, Crabmeat Stuffed Mushroom Caps, Assorted Finger Sandwhiches, Boiled Cocktail Shrimp, Boudain Balls, Crab Cakes, Fresh Fruit Tray,
and Chili Con Queso dip.

Dress - casual / comfortable.

Music: Brent Force and friend Gary will be playing "Very laid back music, james Taylor, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, Emerson Lake and Palmer, and
some of my original music. All in the same genre.". His suggested play list is as follows (but may change): James Taylor: Mudslide Slim,
Streamroller Blues, Long Ago and Far Away, Highway Song. Brent: Family Ties, Backroads, Snow Friends. Cat Stevens: Where Do the Children
Play?. John Prine:Paradise. They have agreed to play 30 min to 1 hour. Alan and Myra have found the cds made by Jim Dunaway for our last reunion
they are a selection of early 70's music. These will be played thru the evening.

Decorations: We plan to have a area to honor our lost classmates. If you wish to bring memorabilia to share - that will be great. If any help is needed
for seup we will sent out another email.

Pictures: My son Scott will take a group picture at 9 pm and will be taking candid shots thru the evening. We ask that anyone bringing a camera to share
what they take. I will either post a zipped file on the website that you can download or will email them out to all who want them. We are not charging to
take or print any pictures.

Check in Front Desk: John Phillip Fuller has offered to sit and geet us as we come in.

Program: DeAnn Rose and Lisa are working up a short program for us. If you have any ideas and wish to share them please do.

No more meetings are planned. Any loose ends will be handled Friday night at the Lumpkins.

Due to the limited response we have received so far - we decided to cancel the band. We are keeping the country club reservation as we really
want to have a place to meet and visit with everyone that can attend. We do not plan for this to be a dress-up fancy event - but a casual hang out
with long time friends and catch up type event. We set a May 31st deadline for everyone to get their money to us. We need to be able to set the
food plans with the country club at that time and cannot plan if we do not have the money in hand to do so.

Announcements will be posted in local papers and websites about the reunion. Emails will be sent out requesting
everyone to send in their payments by the end of the month. Concern about lack of responses so far.
Asking everyone to contact people and get interest going.

Friday night social at Al's canceled. We will try to plan something else if we get enough interest.

Scott Hasty had the Country Club Contract and was re-imbursed the $200 payment.

The following Hors D'Oeuvres were selected from the Country Club provided list: Chinese Eggrolls, Crabmeat Stuffed Mushroom Caps, Assorted Finger Sandwiches, Boiled Cocktail Shrimp, Boudain Balls, Crab Cakes. We also will check on bring in a desert of some sort.

Cash bar which we believe closes at midnight.

We discussed trying to find a photographer to take a group photo and any group photos that you may want. We would like to see if we can find someone who would take pictures and possible put them up on the web for everyone to see and make purchases. If you know of someone who we might talk to please notify us.

Friday night gathering will be hosted by Al Granger. More details later

Ticket price set at $50 a person.

There was interest in doing a booklet - will be sending out a email to request information that you would like to receive on classmages.

Due to cost of the various places that were looked at, it was decided to have the reunion at Sunset Grove Country Club

We reserved the Country Club for Saturday, June 19, 2010. We need to pay $200 to hold the date for us.

It will cost $200 for the use of the Country Club. We will have a cash bar and "heavy" hors d'oeuvres.

Scott Hasty and Al Granger have graciously donated a live band to play for the reunion. It will be the popular band Prime Time

We will use Facebook, email and our class website for posting information. The website is www.starktigers75.com

The next meeting will be Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 7 pm at Scott and DeAnn's house.

Meeting July 15, 2009  - 7 pm - @ Acapulco

We made of list of possible places, dates, caterers', etc.  Everyone took a few to call and check prices and date availabilities.
